About Shared Planner
Shared Planner is a collaborative calendar and task manager for families, teams, and friends. To make real-time planning work, the app stores the content you and your group members create together.
Information we collect
Account & profile
- Email address
- Display name
- Avatar (uploaded image or chosen emoji)
- Authentication provider metadata (e.g. Google sign-in info)
- User ID and account creation timestamp
Groups
- Group name, description, image or emoji
- Invite codes
- Your membership and role in each group
Events & calendar
- Event title, description, date and time
- Optional location
- Assignees and the member who created the event
Tasks & lists
- To-do, shopping, and activity list contents
- Task title, description, due date, status
- Assigned members
Messages & chat
- Message content and reply references
- Media attachments
- Timestamps and sender information
Scheduled calls
- Call title, scheduled time, and participants
- Video meetings are hosted through Jitsi
Reminders & notifications
- Reminder content, schedule, and status
- In-app notifications you receive
Email & communications
- Delivery logs (status, message ID, template, recipient)
- Suppression list entries and unsubscribe tokens
Uploaded media
- Images you upload for avatars, group images, or chat attachments
Device & client-side storage
- Theme preference (light/dark)
- Authenticated session token
- A flag indicating your welcome email has been sent
Voice features
- Voice input and audio are sent to our server to interpret commands
How we use your information
- Provide the core calendar, task, chat, and call features
- Keep changes in sync between members of your groups in real time
- Send transactional emails (welcome, reminders, notifications)
- Interpret voice commands you choose to record
- Investigate errors and keep the service reliable
Sharing
Content you create inside a group (events, tasks, messages, media) is visible to the other members of that group. We also rely on service providers for hosting, email delivery, and video calls to operate the app. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, messages, notifications, and any groups you administer.
Your choices
- Edit your display name and avatar from the Profile screen
- Leave a group at any time
- Unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in each email
- Delete your account to remove your data
